School work - Heart Shape Card & Science

Here just a quick update on the latest school activities. And now is going to the last quarter of the year.
I am thinking whether to continue my son with this kindergarten or switch to other. Any idea? ….mummy in Kota Kemuning any opinion?

School work - Coloring #1

Coloring is 1 of the milestone in the development progress. I believe there are a lot of children development milestone out there for parent’s reference.

But for me, I always let it free for my kids. There is not right time to start for my kids to have coloring activity. As long as there are interest, happy, likes ….why not?

HuaiShan (Yam) Spareribs Soup | 淮山排骨汤

You always can find this type of yam in Chinese vegetable’s stall or Chinese style pasar pagi/malam. Last time this vege is not very popular as not much people know about it. It’s getting famous now a days as it’s rich of nutrition.

So far, I just use it to cook soup and porridge for my kids. Maybe one day I can try sauté method to test the taste.

250gm HuaiShan / 淮山 / 山药
200gm spareribs
1 sticks medium size carrot

2. Soak the wolfberries and odoratum until soft and rinse to clean.
3. Peel the carrot and huai shan and cut in chunks.
4. Add all the ingredients in 1 little of water and simmer for 2.5 hours.

Edible Amaranth | Chinese Spinach

I found some colorful vegetables are full of nutrition. I believe this Chinese Spinach also the same.  It’s has green leaves with red stripes. Wonderful vegetable because it is rich of protein, Vitamin A, B and C. It has double amount of iron that compare to the regular spinach has.

So, this type of chinese spinach always is my 1st choice compare to the regular spinach. In fact, other than stir-fry it with garlic; prepare it in soup also another great cook.

It’s will look not very presentable to mix it for my kid’s porridge, but the taste still good. Normally I used to mix with some anchovies’ powder to increase the liking.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
pinch of salt

Directions:
1. Preheat the wok and add in olive oil. Stir for few second until the garlic is aromatic.
2. Add the spinach and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add some water if it’s too dry.
3. Until the leave is almost wilted and add the salt for taste.
4. Dip up and blend to puree. Mix in 1 tablespoon into cooked porridge and serve.
5. Store the balance in ice tray.

School work - Hari Raya Card

This is another art work before Hari Raya. I guess the teacher giving this art work should be because there are also Malay children studying in the kindergarten.

Now days, more and more Malay parent willing to spend a bit more sending their kids to Chinese based kindergarten. As far as I know, Chinese based kindergarten fee are double up than Malay based or Indian based kindergarten.

Last but not least, wishing all Muslim friends and family Selamat Hari Raya!
