Broccoli and Salmon Porridge | 西兰花和鲑鱼粥
The broccoli puree is from this dish.
For the salmon, I used to bake salmon which I found is easier if comparing to fry.
To process the salmon, apply 1 tablespoon saké to salmon, marinate for 5 minutes. Using paper towel to pad dry the salmon and apply pinch of salt. Bake in oven at 200°C for 10-15 minutes.

Broccoli sauteed Button Mushroom | 西兰花炒蘑菇
I come out this dish using the leftover button
mushrooms from Braised Chicken with waxed meat and mushroom. Nothing special in
term of the vege matching, but I would like to emphasized that I used Extra
Virgin Camellia Seed Oil (榨茶花籽油)
in this dish. The outcome is very satisfying and you w’t even know there is
Camellia Seed Oil if I do not tell you in front.
Healthy and good taste …. No regret to try!
Ingredient:
1 medium size broccoli
5-8 button mushrooms
2 bulbs garlic
1 tbsp camellia seed oil
Directions:
1. Broccoli and mushroom cut in cubes.
2. garlic chopped.
3. Heat camellia seed oil and add in garlic. Saute until aromatic.
4. Pour in broccoli and keep frying, add some water if it's too dry.
5. Add in mushrooms and saute until cooked.
6. Add pinch of saute for taste, dip up.
Some extra info about Extra Virgin Camellia Seed Oil (I copied from here)
LOHAS Camellia Seed Oil is 100% organic oil of the highest grade, Unrefined, this extra virgin oil is extracted from the first cold press of camellia seeds. Many types of unrefined oil have low smoke points, thus they are unsuitable for sautéing, frying and deep-frying but unrefined camellia seed oil has one of the highest smoke points at 220 °C, making it highly suitable for all Asian cooking styles, including deep-frying.
• Has similar nutritive and culinary properties to olive oil, making it perfect for salads
• High quality cooking oil remains stable at high temperatures
• Rich source of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids and Vitamin E
• Naturally high content of polyphenols (antioxidants)
• Low in saturated fat; does not contain trans-fat
• Does not contain chemicals or additive

Edible Amaranth | Chinese Spinach
I found some colorful vegetables are full of nutrition.
I believe this Chinese Spinach also the same.
It’s has green leaves with red stripes. Wonderful vegetable because it
is rich of protein, Vitamin A, B and C. It has double amount of iron that
compare to the regular spinach has.
So, this type of chinese spinach always is my 1st
choice compare to the regular spinach. In fact, other than stir-fry it with garlic; prepare
it in soup also another great cook.
It’s will look not very presentable to mix it for my kid’s porridge, but the taste still good. Normally I used to mix with some anchovies’ powder to increase the liking.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
pinch of salt
Directions:
1. Preheat the wok and add in olive oil. Stir for few second until the garlic is aromatic.
2. Add the spinach and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add some water if it’s too dry.
3. Until the leave is almost wilted and add the salt for taste.
4. Dip up and blend to puree. Mix in 1 tablespoon into cooked porridge and serve.
5. Store the balance in ice tray.
